FMC to expand Hibernia subsea production

HOUSTON -- Hibernia Management and Development Co. has contracted FMC Technologies for subsea equipment for the Hibernia Southern Extension Project.

This is an expansion of the Hibernia field on the Grand Banks, 200 mi (315 km) southeast of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

FMC will provide up to six subsea injection trees and wellheads, one manifold, and associated control systems. All equipment will be manufactured at the company’s plants in St. John's and Houston, with deliveries due to start in spring 2013.
