Cooper steps up exploration off Tunisia

Offshore staff

PERTH, Australia -- Cooper Energy plans to resume drilling the Hammamet West prospect offshore Tunisia this fall.

The Hammamet West-3 prospect will be drilled in the Bargou permit, subject to approvals and a farm-out arrangement.

Tunisia’s government has approved Cooper’s acquisition of the nearby Nabeul permit. Around mid-year, 3D seismic will be acquired to mature various leads on the concession’s western flank.
