Offshore staff

CAPE TOWN, South Africa -- Unique Maritime Group has completed the first of two portable saturation diving systems ordered by McDermott International.

The 12-man, 300-m (984-ft) depth rated saturation diving system comprises five locks in two chambers, equipped with LCD displays and Internet access points.

Another feature is a self-propelled hyperbaric lifeboat on a mobile davit, which Unique Maritime claims is the first to allow evacuation of 12 divers in saturation mode.

The saturation diving system complies with the latest DNV regulations including active load monitoring, and green sea loadings for all manned spaces.
