Petrobras takes Lankhorst Ropes for MODU mooring

SNEEK, the Netherlands – Petrobras has awarded Lankhorst Ropes an order for synthetic mooring rope for deepwater mobile offshore drilling unit use in Brazil. Lankhorst will supply 15,000 m (16,404 yd) of Gama 98 rope under the contract.

The rope will feature up to 12 Dyneema SK78 yarn sub-ropes and this will be the first application of the product to MODUs.
