HRF hosting inaugural Hiring for Hydro event next February

The Hydro Research Foundation (HRF) announces its inaugural Hiring for Hydro event will be held Feb. 22, 2017, in Portland, Ore.

This recruiting and education event is “designed to attract and recruit bright, capable new electrical hydropower workforce entrants including controls, electronics, industrial technology, electricians, electrician apprentices, meter and relaying technicians, communications technicians, SCADA engineers, journeymen, energy systems engineering, utility resources, and transmission.”

Pre-screened students, educators, hydro companies and their recruiters will meet from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

The event is being co-located with the Northwest Hydroelectric Association’s Annual Conference.

HRF was established in 1994 and has to principal objectives: to facilitate research and to promote educational opportunities that communicate the value of hydropower.
