Azeez Mohammed is president and chief executive officer of GE Energy Connections’ Power Conversion business.
In this position, Mohammed will be responsible for continuing to build the Power Conversion business, strengthening the capacity of its service network, especially in emerging markets, according to a press release. Power Conversion provides motor, drive and control technologies across multiple industries related to energy infrastructure.
“Azeez brings both global and operational expertise to our business and will be a great add to the Energy Connections leadership team,” says Russel Stokes, president and CEO of GE Energy Connections and senior vice president of GE. “He will be driving commercial and operational excellence for the Power Conversion business and its customers.”
Mohammed previously was president and CEO of GE’s Power Services business for the Middle East and Africa. He has held a series of roles in engineering, finance and business management in GE Power and GE Corporate worldwide. Mohammed has master and doctorate degrees and a bachelor’s degree, all in mechanical engineering.
He will be based at Power Conversion’s headquarters in Paris.
