Early bird registration for Oregon Wave Energy Trust's OREC XI ends Friday

Registration is now open for the Ocean Renewable Energy Conference (OREC), which returns this year to the the Leftbank Annex in Portland, Ore.

This 11th conference, presented by the Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET), looks to build on lessons learned through the past decade as marine power continues moving toward commercialization.

Conference organizers said OREC XI "is structured to tap the experience and knowledge of leaders from industry, academia and government", with the two-day event creating a "single community to realize the full potential of this new, 21st century energy source."

OREC XI takes place Sept. 21 and 22, 2016. Those who register for the event before Friday, July 29, 2016, are eligible to receive a discount. More details about the conference and registration information can be found on on OREC's website.
