Thursday winners of Best Technical Papers awards announced at HydroVision International 2016

Three more Technical Paper of the Year winners were announced on Thursday at HydroVision International 2016 in Minneapolis, Minn.

These awards are given to the strongest technical papers presented over the three days of the conference program. The winners were chosen by the HydroVision International 2016 technical papers committee. Committee members reviewed all technical papers presentations received in five categories:

1. Environmental & Social

2. Equipment & Technology

3. Market Trends & Strategies

4. Project Management & Operations

5. Water Management & Movement

Awards were announced for the first, second and third place winners in each of these categories and the winners of this award were presented with plaques and certificates at the event.

Today’s winners are:

Second Place, Environmental and Social

Managing Response of Resident Rainbow Trout to Water Diversion at Run-of-River Projects by Andrew Harwood, Sean Faulkner, Todd Hatfield and Adam Lewis, Ecofish Research Ltd.

Third Place, Equipment and Technology

Dealing with Data by Ed Collyer and Jim Stone, Pacific Gas & Electric Co.

Third Place, Project Management and Operations

Vibration Diagnostics and Overhaul Procedures in HPP JAJCE by Mladen Sasic, Iris Power
