The Hydro Research Foundation has announced a pair of leadership team changes following Deborah Linke's decision to step down as executive director.
"We are so fortunate to attract two people of such capability and diversity of background to work together for the benefit of the entire hydropower community," said Leslie Eden, HRF president.
Before joining HRF in 2010, Vaughn gained experience through national and international non-profit leadership and management, including a stint as executive director for Into Your Hands Africa. While at HRF, Vaughn served as program director for the foundation's Fellowship and Research Awards programs.
"It is an honor to step into this new role at the Hydro Research Foundation," Vaughn said. "It is an exciting time as 'Hiring for Hydro' -- an education and workforce development effort -- launches, and new programs are established. I look forward to addressing pressing research and educational needs of the industry and continuing to generate hydropower's future."
Meanwhile, Sinclair has been president of Advanced Hydro Solutions since its formation in 2004, and has more than 40 years of experience in marketing, business development and management.
"I am thrilled to join the Hydro Research Foundation team which has accomplished so much in progressing the technology of hydropower and supporting education and supporting education of the industry's future leaders," Sinclair said. "I look forward to helping the foundation grow to an even greater role within the industry."
Linke had served as HRF's executive director since 2013, after joining the organization in 2009.
