Trouille takes senior hydropower advisor role at Mott MacDonald

Bruno Trouille

Mott MacDonald has appointed Bruno Trouille as a senior hydropower advisor in its global dams and hydropower business, the global infrastructure management, engineering and development firm announced.

Trouille, who comes to Mott MacDonald after a 37-year long tenure with MWH Global, will be based at the company's office in Chicago, providing support for both the North American and international markets.

"Bruno is an excellent addition to our power team," said Peter Black, managing director for power with Mott MacDonald. "Having worked on projects in over 30 countries, he brings a technical, economic and business development skillset that will make a significant contribution to the future growth and success of our global dams and hydro business."

While with MWH, Trouille was involved with a number of major water resource schemes, with a portfolio including work on dams, hydroelectric plants and pumped-storage projects through all phases of development. He has also worked with international financing institutions and private developers to broker investment programs, concession and power purchase agreements.

Trouille has authored and contributed to a number of hydro-related papers, including reports that were recognized as best at the HydroVision International conference and exhibition.

Headquartered in Croydon, England, Mott MacDonald operates more than 180 offices in 150 countries. HydroWorld reported in June that the company had been awarded a US$5.9 million contract by the U.S. Agency for International Development to perform engineering reviews for Pakistan's 4,500-MW Diamer Bhasha project.
