Michael Rogers has been named global dams practice leader at MWH Global, succeeding Glenn Tarbox.
In this position, Rogers will lead planning, design and construction management for all types of structures designed to store, regulate and deliver water.
Previously, Rogers was North America dams practice leader. He has more than 30 years of experience in technical design, project management and client service coordination on dam projects. Work in which he has played a significant role, according to MWH, includes the Big Bear Valley Dam rehabilitation project and the San Vicente Dam Raise project.
Rogers also has served as president of the U.S. Society on Dams and is currently vice president of the International Commission on Large Dams.
“Mike brings strategic vision and a wealth of industry-leading experience to the global dams practice leader position, rooted in more than 30 years of hands-on project work,” said Joe Adams, president of energy and industry for MWH Global.
Tarbox will continue to serve as a senior technical advisor.
