Shulginov named new head, Dod resigns at RusHydro

The board of directors of PJSC RusHydro has appointed Nikolay Shulginov its new chairman of the management board, general director. During a meeting held Sept. 14, the board also terminated powers of Evgeny Dod, who has been managing the company since November 2009.

Dod was appointed to this position in 2009, and in 2014 his tenure in this position was extended until 2019.

Prior to this, Shulginov was deputy chairman of the management board and member of the management board, director of technical audit with JSC SO UES (System Operator of the Unified Energy System).  Before that, he was deputy director of integrated dispatch administration - director of FOREM TCSC (Territorial Contract and Settlement Center of the subsidiary of RAO UES of Russia - IDA.

The Sept. 14 meeting was held for the purpose of discussing the composition of the governing bodies of RusHydro. In addition to the above leadership change, the board of directors elected 13 members to the strategy committee; 13 members to the investments committee; and 13 members to the committee on reliability, energy efficiency and innovations

RusHydro owns more than 70 renewable energy facilities with total installed capacity of 38.5 GW. These include 23 hydropower facilities and another seven under construction, as well as the 1.7-MW Kidlogubskaya tidal facility. The company has The Russian Federation owns more than 66% of RusHydro’s share capital.
