WaterCube LLC and Tecplot Inc. have formed a strategic partnership that will foster the launch of a new product, called CUBEIT.
CUBEIT is WaterCube’s water resource management solution, which will be powered by Tecplot’s data visualization software. CUBEIT will be officially launched at HydroVision International 2015 next week in Portland, Ore.
A workshop on the subject of water resource management is being held at HydroVision International on July 13 and 14, organized by WaterCube, Teledyne RD Instruments and Tecplot. The workshop is titled, “A Look at Solving Real World Problems with Real 3D Spatial Data: What is Really Happening in my River?”
Billed as an in-depth course on the use of high-resolution eco-hydraulic surveys for visualizing stream dynamics, the workshop is geared toward consultants, hydrologists, engineers, scientists and hydropower operators. Attendees will learn how to plan, budget and implement a successful river survey that will minimize cost, maximize results and meet an array of project requirements.
The price to attend this workshop has been reduced to $295. Attendees receive 13 hours of instruction, along with a certificate providing 10 professional development hours.
CUBEIT is a data visualization solution that takes the power of big data and makes it usable on a mass scale, according to a press release.
The solution can be used by scientists and researchers to visualize, validate and manage river, reservoir and stream data. It provides insights for dam removal and placement, hydropower applications for assessing stream power, and environmental studies enabling river restoration and ecological improvements, WaterCube says.
The company also has a video on Hydro TV discussing water supply issues and how to gather and process vast quantities of data on rivers. Check it out here.
WaterCube is a technology and hydrologic services company based in South Carolina. Tecplot develops visual data analysis software for engineers and scientists and is based in Washington State.
