U.S. seeks HVAC upgrades at 402-MW Dworshak hydro project

Dworshak Hydropower Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to upgrade the heating-ventilation-air conditioning system at the 402-MW Dworshak Dam hydroelectric project in Idaho. Bids are due July 7.

The Corps' Walla Walla District previously called for bids by July 8 to replace generator windings of the Unit 3 turbine-generator at Dworshak. It called for bids in May to supply circuit breakers and capacitors and in April for oil filtration systems for Dworshak on the North Fork Clearwater River.

The Walla Walla District now seeks bids to upgrade the industrial HVAC system at Dworshak. Work includes demolition and replacement of some ductwork and upgrading of key subcomponents of the system. The work is expected to cost between $1 million and $5 million.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF15B0017 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due July 7. For information, contact Elaine M. Vandiver, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. Third Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7221; E-mail: elaine.m.vandiver@usace.army.mil.
