Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to provide studies and site monitoring in the fields of civil engineering and mechanics for hydroelectric projects. Bids in two solicitations are due June 25.

Recent rehabilitation on EDF projects includes bidding in February for reinforcement of Balme de Rencurel Dam and for a trashrack and downstream fish passage at the 8-MW Pebernat project, and in December to renovate the command and control systems of six projects on the lower Maulde River.

In one solicitation, the utility now seeks bids for a framework contract for the provision of studies and site monitoring in the field of civil engineering for hydroelectric generation. In the other, it seeks bids for a framework contract for provision of studies and site monitoring in the field of mechanics for hydroelectric generation.

The tenders are part of activities aimed at maintenance and development of the EDF hydropower fleet and at engineering services on behalf of third parties in France and abroad. The agreement under each solicitation is expected to cover 72 months.
