Canadian utility BC Hydro invites applications for pre-qualification to provide consulting services to the utility on regulatory, social, properties and commercial management issues in British Columbia. Responses are due June 26.
BC Hydro previously called for bids by June 19 to service 108 climate, snow, and hydrometric stations across British Columbia. It called for bids in March to supply surface air coolers for the 804-MW Seven Mile hydroelectric project and to perform site preparation for the proposed 1,100-MW Peace River Site C hydroelectric project.
BC Hydro now invites applications for pre-qualification to become qualified suppliers to its Regulatory, Environmental, Social and Property Issues Management (RESP) and Commercial Management Consulting Services Program. Qualified suppliers might be asked to provide individual personnel to supplement BC Hydro's internal resources on an as-needed basis.
Work of the RESP management group includes support to project management, strategic advice, guidance and coordination of environmental, regulatory, social and properties issues. Work of the Commercial Management group includes capital project justifications to facilitate the progression of BC Hydro projects through the project lifecycle.
