The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) seeks bids to supply valves and hydraulic controls for rehabilitation of Peru's 798-MW Santiago Antunez de Mayolo and 210-MW Restitucion hydroelectric projects. Bids in two solicitations are due June 3.
UNOPS, which is providing rehabilitation assistance under a framework agreement with project operator Empresa de Electricidad del Peru S.A. (Electroperu), previously called for bids by May 26 to supply generator rotor poles and slip rings for rehabilitation at Santiago Antunez de Mayolo. It also took bids last year for thrust bearings, half-coils and other generator rehab equipment at Santiago Antunez de Mayolo.
The hydro plants are part of the 1,008-MW Mantaro hydroelectric complex that also includes the 180-meter-tall Tablachaca Dam and a system of other dams that regulate flows on the Mantaro River.
In the first of two solicitations, PEOC/14/91049/2260, UNOPS seeks bids by noon June 3 to supply gate valves and hydraulic controls for Santiago Antunez de Mayolo and for Restitucion.
In a second solicitation, PEOC/14/91049/2262, it seeks bids by 3 p.m. June 3 to supply a ball valve for Santiago Antunez de Mayolo.
