Swiss utility seeks turbine-generator for 2.7-MW Realp 2 small hydro project

Swiss utility Elektrizitatswerk Ursern seeks bids to supply a turbine-generator and other equipment for the 2.7-MW Realp 2 small hydropower project at Realp, Switzerland. Bids are due May 29.

Other Swiss utilities recently took bids for turbine-generators at the 170-kW Seyon Aval, 570-kW Morteratsch and 2.5-MW Arni small hydro projects.

Elektrizitatswerk Ursern is developing Realp 2 on the Witenwasseren and Muttenreuss rivers near the 850-kW Realp project. It seeks bids for Lot 4.1, a complete machine group including turbine-generator, governor, controls, automation and other equipment. The work is expected to be performed between July 2016 and October 2017.
