Peru's national water authority seeks hydrodynamic modeling and topographic and bathymetric surveys of river basins under its program to modernize integrated water resource management in Peru. Responses to two solicitations are due May 18 and June 3.
Peru is pursuing numerous water resources projects, many linked to hydropower projects. The government recruited consultants last year to develop hydropower project portfolios for seven river basins in Peru.
Water authority Autoridad Nacional del Agua (ANA) now invites expressions of interest by May 18 to perform two-dimensional hydrodynamic modeling for assessment and management of flood risks in the lower reaches of the Chira and Piura rivers and the Tumbes River. Valued at US$896,762, the work is to include geomorphological, historical flood area, hydrological and hydraulic studies. Responses are due May 18 to the address below.
In a second solicitation, ANA seeks bids by June 3 for development of topography of the Chira and Piura river basins, including topographic light detecting and ranging (LIDAR), digital aerial photographs, topographic surveys and additional bathymetric surveys by sections in water bodies, and construction of a digital terrain model from LIDAR data.
Bid documents may be reviewed on the ANA Internet site, www.ana.gob.pe, under Modernizacion de la Gestion Integral de los Recursos Hidricos. Copies in Spanish may be obtained by written request to the address below.
Bids are due by 4 p.m. June 3 to the address below.
