Other recent hydro activity in France includes requests for bids by May 11 to Hydrostadium to supply gates to the Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny hydro project and turbines to the 1.86-MW Hautefage project. A French hydro operator sought bids by May 5 to install a second turbine-generator at the 1-MW Aya project on the Ardalos River.

Commune de Carcassonne offers the concession as a way to accomplish reconstruction of Paicherou Dam, believed to be built in the 1600s and in need of reconstruction to comply with modern regulations including a requirement for fish passage.

It seeks bids for a concession for design, permitting, financing, construction, operation and maintenance for 30 years of Paicherou. The plant will be connected to the public electricity grid in return for the concession.
