Corps seeks firms for construction on dams, other facilities in Snake River Basin area

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on small firms able to provide repair, maintenance and construction services at Corps dams and other facilities in the Pacific Northwest. Responses are due May 14.

The Corps' Omaha District previously called for information in May on firms able to provide integrated architect and engineering services for Corps facilities including hydropower projects in the Corps' Northwestern Division. The Walla Walla District recruited firms in February to perform hydrographic surveying and mapping services while the Portland District requested information in March on firms able to provide multi-disciplined engineering services in the region.

In a sources sought notice, the Walla Walla District now seeks information on small firms with design-build-construction capability that are able to provide repair, maintenance and construction services to large civil works projects including flood control and hydroelectric dams, river navigation facilities, maintenance and office facilities, roads, recreation facilities and river levees. It plans to use responses to identify small businesses with capability to perform the work.

It said the work mostly would be performed in the Walla Walla District in six states generally situated in the Snake River drainage. The agency anticipates issuing up to four indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contracts for a period of 36 months with one 24-month option with a total amount not exceeding $25 million.
