Corps pre-qualifies firms for engineering surveys of dams, other facilities in eastern U.S.

Corps Great Lakes and Ohio River Division

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites applications for pre-qualification to perform engineering field surveys of civil works projects in the Corps' Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. Responses are due May 7.

The Corps' Nashville District solicited information in February on small businesses able to perform electrical and mechanical architect-engineer services for hydropower and other projects in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. The Huntington District recruited firms last year for foundation pressure relief well and geophysical survey services at civil works projects in the division.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Nashville District now invites applications for pre-qualification to perform a variety of surveying and mapping services for structures such as locks, dams, powerhouses, project buildings, levees, floodwalls, pumping stations, stream banks and other sites. The Corps plans to issue one five-year indefinite quantity contract with a total value of $3 million.

A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912P515R0007 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Interested firms are invited to submit Standard Form 330 packages to the address below by 2 p.m., Central time, May 7. Forms may be obtained on the Internet at www.gsa.gov/portal/forms/type/TOP/category/22457/hostUri/portal.
