The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a US$5 million contract to Geo Consultants LLC to perform foundation pressure relief well and geophysical survey services at civil works projects in its Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.
The Corps' Huntington District solicited expressions of interest in the work this past May.
Per the contract, Geo Consultants will perform design, studies, geophysical surveys, sampling, testing, permit procurement and other activities related to relief wells, extraction wells and monitoring wells. The award is an indefinite delivery contract with a base period and four option periods.
The Corps awarded contracts this year to a Jacobs/Stantec joint venture and Tetra Tech/Pond & Co. and last year to Woolpert Inc. for a range of military and civil works projects in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. The division includes the Corps' Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Huntington, Louisville, Nashville and Pittsburgh districts.
