U.S. extends call for station service replacement at 27-MW Anderson Ranch Dam hydro project

Anderson Ranch Dam Hydropower Project

The Bureau of Reclamation has extended the deadline for bids to replace a station service substation and related equipment at 27-MW Anderson Ranch Dam hydro project in Idaho. Bids now are due May 14.

Reclamation previously called for bids by May 1. It took bids last year to refurbish a 72-inch hollow jet valve at the project on the South Fork, Boise River. It awarded a contract to Precision Machine and Supply Inc. in 2012 to refurbish another jet valve at Anderson Ranch. It performed other valve work at the project in 2011.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation now seeks removal and replacement of the station service unit substation, a temporary power transformer, distribution board, conduit, and other equipment. The work is valued at $1 million to $2 million.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R15PS00361 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids now are due May 14. For information, contact Susanne Clark, Contract Specialist, Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, Acquisition Management Division, 1150 N. Curtis Road, Suite 100, Boise, ID 83706-1234; (1) 208-378-5039; E-mail: sclark@usbr.gov.
