Canada utility extends call for circuit breakers at 695-MW Keeyask hydro project

Canadian utility Manitoba Hydro has extended the deadline for bids to supply generator circuit breakers for the 695-MW Keeyask hydroelectric project being built on the Lower Nelson River in Manitoba. Bids now are due Feb. 19.

Manitoba Hydro previously called for bids by Feb. 6. It took bids in January to provide inspection of equipment manufacturing for Keeyask. The project site was evacuated in January due to a bomb threat.

The utility now seeks bids by 4 p.m., Central time, Feb. 19 for supply and delivery of seven generator circuit breakers, including pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance, on-site training and participation in reliability centered maintenance analysis.
