India state seeks trash rake for 111-MW Sawra Kuddu hydro project

India's Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd. (HPPC) seeks bids to supply a trashrack cleaning machine for the 111-MW Sawra Kuddu hydroelectric project in Himachal Pradesh State. Bids are due February 18.

Sawra Kuddu is one of four run-of-river projects HPPC has been developing under the Multi-Tranche Financing Facility Himachal Clean Power Development program funded by the Asian Development Bank. HPPC awarded a contract to Patel Engineering Ltd. of India in 2009 for civil work, gates, and hoisting equipment for Sawra Kuddu on the Pabbar River. Andritz Hydro supplied electro-mechanical equipment.

The state-owned utility now seeks bids for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a hydraulically operated trashrack cleaning machine.

Bidding documents in English may be obtained from the address below for 5,000 rupees (US$80.43) and 1,000 rupees (US$16.09) for domestic post payable by crossed demand draft to Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd. from any nationalized/scheduled bank in India payable at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
