U.S. extends bidding for gantry crane at Idaho's Ririe Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation has extended the deadline for bids to supply and install a five-ton monorail gantry crane at Ririe Dam on Willow Creek in Idaho. A new site visit is scheduled Jan. 15, with bids due Jan. 30, 2015.

Reclamation previously called for bids by Jan. 5.

Ririe Dam, part of Reclamation's Ririe flood control project on Snake River tributaries, contains no hydropower, but has been studied for hydro development under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission preliminary permits.

Reclamation now seeks bids for design, supply and installation of a five-ton monorail crane. The work is valued at $50,000 to $150,000.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R15PS00044 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box. A new site visit now is scheduled for 11 a.m., Mountain time, Jan. 15. Participants are encouraged to contact the address below within 24 hours of the site visit.

Bids now are due Jan. 30. For information, contact Michael Moffett, Contract Specialist, Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Snake Field Office, Ririe Dam Field Station, 226 Meadow Creek Road, Ririe, ID 83443; (1) 208-678-0461 ext. 28; E-mail: mmoffett@usbr.gov.
