French municipality awards contracts for dam safety work on Meurthe River

The municipality of Greater Nancy has awarded a US$27,777 contract to Axis Conseils Paugam to and $188,737 contract to Artelia Region for work on dams on the Meurthe River in France.

Axis Conseils Paugam will perform topographical and bathymetric surveys, while Artelia Region -- a representative of group Artelia/SATIF -- will perform diagnostics of civil engineering and moving parts.

The Communaute Urbaine du Grand Nancy took bids for the work in January for dam safety reconnaissance, diagnostics and instrumentation for securing the hydraulic structures of the Meurthe River from Nancy to Lay St. Christophe. The work includes three lots for installation of staff gauges, topographical and bathymetric surveys, and diagnostics of civil engineering and moving parts of dams.

A contract was not awarded for installation of staff gauge.
