Firms sought for environmental, engineering work at Corps dams, other sites in Southeast

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to perform planning, environmental and engineering services at hydroelectric projects, dams, and other facilities in its Savannah District. Responses are due Oct. 7.

The Corps' Savannah District sought information in February on firms able to perform construction, rehabilitation and other work at its facilities. It sought firms in 2011 to perform construction and remedial work at government lakes and dams in Georgia and South Carolina. Among other facilities, the Savannah District operates three major hydro projects on the Savannah River.

The district now seeks information from small businesses capable of planning, environmental and engineering services, including hydrology, hydraulics and geotechnical work, at Savannah District civil works projects. Responses are to help it determine interest, availability and capability of businesses to perform the work.
