HydroVision Brasil is planned for Oct. 21-23 at Sao Paulo’s Transamerica Expo Center. The conference and exhibition is part of the larger Power Brasil Event, which includes POWER-GEN Brasil and DistribuTECH Brasil. PennWell do Brasil Holdings Ltda., a subsidiary of PennWell Corporation, is organizing these events.

The event offers international solutions for Brazilian utilities. In 2013, 51 nations came together to collaborate and discuss the future of the Brazilian electric power industry.

Hydroelectric power in Brazil is expected to grow considerably by 2022, with 35 new hydropower plants under construction with a total of 39.4 GW and 27 projects under feasibility studies with an expected total of 6.9 GW.

The event features a robust conference track. After a joint opening keynote session featuring a presentation by Jose da Costa Carvalho Neto, president of Eletrobras, HydroVision Brasil will feature 60 presenters in 11 sessions over three days. A joint special session will address the topic of Securing a Reliable Electricity Supply in Brazil – Change or Collapse?

At this event, the Projects of the Year will be awarded, to recognize and support innovative projects and cases with relevant content and potential to generate significant changes in the industry.
