U.S. seeks temperature transmitters for 402-MW Dworshak hydro project

Dworshak Hydropower Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply temperature transmitters for installation at the 402-MW Dworshak Dam hydroelectric project in Idaho. Bids are due July 7.

The Corps' Walla Walla District said last year it planned to seek bids for head cover repair of a generating unit at Dworshak. It awarded a contract in 2013 to American Babbit Bearing Inc. to rehabilitate turbine guide bearings at Dworshak and the 810-MW Lower Granite project. Dworshak is on the North Fork Clearwater River in Idaho.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now seeks bids to supply 60 temperature transmitters for Dworshak.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF14Q0194 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due July 7. For information, contact Camilla Allen, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. Third Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7213; E-mail: camilla.allen@usace.army.mil.
