U.S. seeks wicket gates for 3.4-MW Boise Diversion Dam hydro plant

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to supply replacement wicket gates for the 3.4-MW Boise Diversion Dam on Idaho's Boise River. Bids are due June 4.

The 102-year-old Boise Diversion Dam powerhouse, on the National Register of Historic Places, was refurbished in 2004, increasing its installed capacity from 1.5 MW. The plant is part of Reclamation's Boise Project, which has two other hydro plants, 40-MW Anderson Ranch Dam and 10.2-MW Black Canyon Dam.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation seeks bids to supply 68 new stainless steel wicket gates for Boise Diversion Dam Units 1 and 2, including 68 stainless steel link pins and 136 upper and lower composite wicket gate bushings.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R14PS00388 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
