Lisa Larson and Bao Le have joined HDR’s hydropower practice.
Larson is HDR’s Northwest hydropower strategic planning and client development lead for public and private utilities, based in Seattle. Her responsibilities include strategic planning, business development, program management, hydraulic design and modeling support. She has 20 years of experience in the hydroelectric industry, most recently as Seattle operations manager with McMillen, LLC and previously as a principal with Northwest Hydraulic Consultants.
Larson is the Washington state director of the Northwest Hydroelectric Association and serves on the HydroVision Steering Committee. She is a registered professional engineer in Washington state. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in civil engineering (water resources and construction engineering management) from Oregon State University.
Bao Le is a project manager and senior fisheries biologist based in HDR’s Portland, Oregon office. His responsibilities include supporting hydropower clients throughout the western United States on complex project/process management issues including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing, implementation and compliance, Endangered Species Act compliance, multi stakeholder working groups, and technical support on fish, aquatic and water quality assessments.
Le has more than 16 years of industry experience, most recently with Long View Associates, where he held a similar role. He is a member of the American Fisheries Society and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of California, Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in zoology from the University of Maine.
