Dalles Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a US$2.7 million contract to Industrial Support Service LLC to refurbish a 35-ton tailrace gantry crane at the 1,780-MW Dalles hydropower project on the Columbia River.

The Corps' Portland District most recently called for bids in February for work that includes refurbishments and the installation of a new 40-ton rated hoist and trolley, new cab, new gantry crane drive, new platforms and ladders and a new conductor support system.

HydroWorld.com reported the Corps awarded a contract to McMillen LLC for fishway modifications at Dalles Dam in September.
