Canadian Dam Association accepting abstracts for 2014 conference

The Canadian Dam Association is now inviting abstracts for papers and presentations for the 2014 CDA Conference.

The theme of this year's event is "A Balance of Changing Priorities". Abstracts are connected to this theme are particularly encouraged, with five strategic themes identified by the CDA including:

  • Decision-Making
  • Dam Safety Reviews
  • Risk Controls
  • Mining Dams
  • 2013 Flood Events

The CDA said papers are invited on all dam-related decisions for both water dams and tailings dams, as well as the various methods used for analysis and integration.

Interested parties are asked to submit a 300- to 500-word abstract in either French or English by March 15.

The Canadian Dam Association Annual Conference takes place Oct. 4 to 9 in Banff, Alberta.
