U.S. seeks station service replacement at 980-MW McNary Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for replacement, rehabilitation and modernization of the station service electrical power system at 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River. Bids are due Feb. 4.

The Corps' Walla Walla District recently awarded contracts to Transco Industries Inc. to supply spare draft tube stoplogs and to B&H International to supply 380 anodes for main unit intake gates and bearing heat exchanger replacement plates at McNary. (HydroWorld 12/23/13)

The Corps now seeks overhaul of McNary's station service system at an estimated cost of $25 million to $100 million.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF14R0001 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
