U.S. Reclamation seeks to refurbish another jet valve at 27-MW Anderson Ranch Dam

Anderson Ranch Dam

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids for refurbishment of another 72-inch hollow jet valve at 27-MW Anderson Ranch Dam in Idaho. Bids are due Jan. 31.

The valve is one of five that regulate discharge from the dam on the South Fork of the Boise River. Reclamation awarded a US$198,285 contract to Precision Machine and Supply Inc. in 2012 to refurbish another jet valve at Anderson Ranch. It took bids for that work earlier that year.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation said the latest work is to be completed at the contractor's facility. The government is to lift the 63,000-pound valve onto the contractor's transport vehicle for movement from the project site.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R14PS00011 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due July 31. For information, contact Michael Moffett, Bureau of Reclamation - PN - Regional Office, 1150 N. Curtis Road, Suite 100, Boise, ID 83706; E-mail: mmoffett@usbr.gov.
