The Bureau of Reclamation further extended the deadline for bids to replace fire-damaged electrical equipment at the 1,125-MW Grand Coulee Right Power Plant in Washington. Bids now are due Jan. 8.
Reclamation previously called for bids by Jan. 6, Dec. 30 and Dec. 23.
The Right Power Plant is a development of the 6,809-MW Grand Coulee hydroelectric project on the Columbia River. Other developments are the 1,155-MW Left Power Plant, the 4,215-MW Third Power Plant, and the 314-MW John W. Keys III Pump-Generating Plant.
In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation now seeks bids for isophase bus replacement for Unit G10 of the Right Power Plant, including removal of the existing isophase bus and associated generator surge arrestors and capacitors, and supply and installation of three new phases of isolated phase bus between G10 generator and K10A transformers and associated generator surge arrestors and capacitors. Work also includes repair of any conduits and circuits in the immediate vicinity of the recent electrical fire.
The work is valued at $1 million to $5 million.
