Page Electric wins contract for McNary Dam rehabilitation project

McNary Dam Hydro Project

Page Electric Co. L.P. has been awarded a US$10,335 contract to supply submersible cable for the 980-MW McNary Dam hydroelectric plant on the Columbia River.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Walla Walla District most recently solicited bids for the work in December 2012.

As per the contract, Page Electric will provide about 3,000 feet of submersible 4-C 14 AWG water-blocked cable for motors of McNary's extended submersible barrier screens. The cable is to be delivered by Feb. 28, 2013.

HydroWorld.com reported earlier this month that the Corps had awarded a contract to Industrial Support Service LLC to repair derrick cranes at McNary Dam's navigation lock.
