Italy utility seeks hydro turbine runners for 32-MW Tel

BOLZANO, Italy (1/4/2013) -- Italy utility Azienda Energetica S.p.A. - Etschwerke AG seeks bids to supply two turbine runners to the 32-MW Tel hydroelectric project on Italy's Adige River. Bids are due January 21.

Azienda Energetica installed four new units in 1994-1996 at Tel, which was built in 1898 near Merano in South Tyrol.

The utility now seeks two Francis runners rated at 7.14 MW each. The work is to require 12 months at an estimated cost of 870,000 euros (US$1.14 million).

Solicitation documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in Italian or German, are due by noon January 21.
