The government of Guadeloupe invites applications for pre-qualification to construct Moreau Dam in the commune of Goyave in Guadeloupe. Responses are due January 18.
The eastern Caribbean island group, an overseas department of France, awarded contracts in 2008 to the French-based unit of Stucky of Switzerland to perform failure analyses of Moreau and of Dumanoir Dam. In 2011, the government awarded a contract to Anteagroup to perform auscultation monitoring of Dumanoir Dam, in the commune of Capesterre Belle Eau.
In the current solicitation, the Guadeloupe regional council invites pre-qualification by firms to construct the 26-meter-tall, 250-meter-long earthen dam, hydro-mechanical structures, and related facilities of Moreau Dam on Zombis River for irrigation and water supply.
Solicitation documents may be obtained from the Internet at www.eguadeloupe.com or from the address below.
Applications for pre-qualification, in French, are due by noon January 18, to the address below. The government plans to compile a short-list of three to five firms for invitation to bid.
