U.S. seeks intake gate anodes for 980-MW McNary Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply 380 anodes for main unit intake gates at 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River. Bids are due Dec. 20.

The Corps' Walla Walla District said it seeks anodes for the galvanic anode cathodic protection system during a large capital rehabilitation program at McNary. It called for bids by Dec. 11 to supply thrust bearing heat exchanger replacement plates and bids by Dec. 20 for spare draft tube stoplogs for McNary. It took bids in November to supply vertical barrier screen mesh panels for the project.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the district now seeks bids for 380 anodes to accommodate 10 intake gates.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W912EF14Q0030 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
