Guadeloupe government names contractor for dam safety, monitoring services

The government of Guadeloupe has awarded a US$352,875 contract to Antea France-Agence Antilles Guyane of Guadeloupe for auscultation dam monitoring of Dumanoir Dam.

The government extended a bidding period in July.

In the solicitation, Conseil General de la Guadeloupe sought a firm to perform monitoring of Dumanoir Dam from 2014-2017. Per the award, Antea France is to use auscultation equipment already in place at the water supply project, including piezometers, flow meters, pressure sensors and a weather station.

The dam is located in the commune of Capesterre Belle Eau.
