Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to supply and install hydraulic oil stations and related equipment to 100 hydropower plants throughout France. Bids are due January 15, 2014.

EDF has an ongoing program of maintenance and refurbishment at its portfolio of 435 hydroelectric projects. It is building five centralized monitoring and control centers to provide remote monitoring of more than 300 of its projects. EDF and Germany's Energie Baden-Wurttemberg AG formally completed in October the 148-MW Rheinkraftwerk Iffezheim hydropower plant on the Rhine River.

EDF now seeks supply, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of hydraulic oil stations or renovation of existing stations, including replacement of piping and cylinders. It proposes a framework agreement with up to six firms to equip about 205 generating units at 100 hydropower plants over 16 years.

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Prospective bidders are invited to use EDF's procurement Internet site, https://portail-achats.edf.com, to submit questions and bids.

Bids, in French, are due by 6 p.m. January 15. For information, contact Thierry Chaboud, Electricite de France, Agence Achats Hydraulique, 20 Place de La Defense, 92050 Paris La Defense Cedex, France; E-mail: thierry.chaboud@edf.fr; Internet: www.edf.com.
