Corps seeks dam safety, flood reduction, navigation engineers


The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites expressions of interest from architect-engineering firms with expertise in dam safety, flood damage reduction, and navigation and waterways to support Corps work in the continental United States. Responses are due Jan. 31.

The Corps' Huntington District sought information in August from firms capable of performing dam safety engineering work at projects throughout the U.S.  It sought similar information in June from firms capable of performing emergency rehabilitation project work at dams and other facilities and recruited water resources engineering services in 2012. 

The Huntington District and the Dam Safety Modification Mandatory Center of Expertise now seek architect-engineers for up to two multi-disciplinary indefinite-delivery contracts for a base year and four option years. The contract, expected to be awarded in May, is not to exceed $10 million over its life.

The Corps seeks services to support its mission to plan, design, build, modify, operate and control reservoirs and dams, flood damage reduction projects, navigation projects, rehabilitation projects and support for other agency projects.
