U.S. seeks bridge crane equipment replacement at 810-MW Lower Monumental Dam

Lower Monumental Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to replace wheel and axle assemblies of a 600-ton powerhouse bridge crane at 810-MW Lower Monumental Dam in Washington. Bids are due Dec. 6.

The Corps' Walla Walla District awarded a contract in September to Konnowac LLC for spillway weir modifications at Lower Monumental. It took information in August on firms capable of performing fish passage studies and bids in February to refurbish fishway pump parts at the project on the Snake River.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Walla Walla District now seeks bids to supply four new bridge crane wheel and axle assemblies for a 600-ton powerhouse bridge crane at Lower Monumental. The equipment is to be installed by government personnel.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF14Q0002 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due Dec. 6. For information, contact Richard Harvey, Contract Specialist, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, 201 N. 3rd Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876; (1) 509-527-7913; E-mail: richard.a.harvey@usace.army.mil.
