The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to supply a step-up transformer at Soo Locks, the navigation link between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes as well as the location of three hydroelectric plants. Bids are due Sept. 12.

Work also includes removal of a transformer enclosure, installation of an equipment pad and containment system, protective devices, cabling, supports, and other items.
