The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites expressions of interest from small businesses for architect-engineer services to plan and design Corps water resource projects. Responses are due July 11.

The Corps' Portland District solicited information in 2012 on small businesses capable of performing the work. It also took bids on behalf of the Corps' Hydroelectric Design Center for a restructuring study. The district previously recruited architect-engineering firms to provide multi-disciplined engineering and design services to the district.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now invites expressions of interest to provide planning and feasibility design services for water resource projects. Services are to be in the areas of ecosystem restoration, flood risk management, water supply, navigation, and other responsibilities of the Corps.

The agency plans to award a maximum $9 million contract of one base year and four one-year option periods.

A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site,, by entering Solicitation No. W9127N13R0029 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Interested firms are invited to submit Standard Form 330 packages to the address below by July 11. Forms may be obtained on the Internet at
