Chesteron unveils new coating for hydropower project maintenance

Industrial fluid and technology manufacturer A.W. Chesterton has released a new product with use in hydropower project operation and maintenance.

Called 783 ACR, the product is an industrial-grade anti-seize designed to protect threaded fasteners at temperatures up to 1652 degrees Fahrenheit.

Chesterton said 783 ACR is particularly well-suited for application in places where corrosion is the primary cause of bolt seizure due to its "exceptional resistance" to water washout.

In addition to producing lubricants and cleaners, the Massachusetts-based company also provides gaskets, seals, concrete work and other maintenance and repair services.

Chesterton will be exhibiting at HydroVision International 2013 in Booth No. 418. HydroVision International is the world's largest event dedicated to the hydropower industry. This year's event takes place July 23-26 at Denver's Colorado Convention Center.
