U.S. hydro project operator seeks asbestos removal at seven Wyoming sites


The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids for removal and disposal of asbestos at seven sites in Wyoming at or near the locations of several major Reclamation hydro projects. Bids are due July 5.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, Reclamation's Wyoming Area Office at Mills seeks bids to remove and dispose of asbestos in Wyoming at Guernsey, location of the 6.4-MW Guernsey Dam project; Glendo, location of the 38-MW Glendo project; Boysen, location of the 15-MW Boysen project; Alcova, location of the 41.4-MW Alcova project; Seminoe, location of the 51.75-MW Seminoe project; 68.8-MW Fremont Canyon power plant; and Mills, location of the Wyoming Area Office.

Valued at $25,000 to $150,000, the work is to be completed by September 30.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R13PS66016 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
